Rosenborg could be tested by improving Kristiansund

On the face of it, Rosenborg's trip to Norwegian Eliteserien strugglers Kristiansund should be a routine affair.

The Norwegian champions are dominating proceedings at the top of the table having opened up a two-point gap from nearest challengers Brann Bergen before the weekend's matches.

However, the form of their hosts suggests this could be a more competitive affair than the match betting would indicate.

Kristiansund go off as 5-1 shots but they should be in a good frame of mind following last week's impressive 4-1 win at Staebek. That followed a 1-1 home draw with Aalesund and features in a run of nine games in which they have been defeated just twice.

Goals have been commonplace in their games with both teams scoring in each of their last five league outings, and in seven of their last eight.

It's 10-11 that both teams score in this one but it may pay to lean towards the away win as well and the 5-2 that Rosenborg dot up looks decent value. The Troll Children ran out 7-3 and 3-1 winners in their last two meetings with Kristiansund while prior to that they slugged it out in a 2-2 draw.

The champions should be too strong - former Arsenal star Niklas Bendtner could feature for the visitors who have lost just twice this season - but they are unlikely to have it all their own way especially if Kristiansund hotshot Benjamin Stokke continues his hot streak.

Stokke has bagged six goals in his last nine appearance, including a 16-minute hat-trick last week, and he could be the man to cause Rosenborg most problems.
