1 Spurs squad much stronger this season
Eric Dier, Mousa Dembele and Harry Kane played massive roles in Tottenham’s title challenge last season and it was hugely impressive that Spurs started with none of that trio but still managed to beat Manchester City 2-0 yesterday.
Summer signing Victor Wanyama was excellent in the holding role as Tottenham kept City reasonably quiet for 90 minutes and Heung-Min Son, who failed to score but played a key role in Dele Alli’s strike, has added variety to the Spurs attack now he is back in favour.
2 Benteke is a beast
It is probably asking too much for Christian Benteke to get involved in the Premier League Golden Boot battle but he looks a forward to follow on a regular basis now he has moved to a club who suit his style of play.
