Team news

Preston
Louis Moult and Josh Ginnelly are both long-term absentees but Alex Neil has no new injury concerns.

Derby
Full-back Andre Wisdom is out after he was stabbed in a robbery, but he is expected to make a full recovery. The Rams are also without suspended Tom Lawrence and injured striker Jack Marriott.

Match preview

Preston are winless in five games and their Sky Bet Championship playoff push has faltered to the point where this Deepdale clash with Derby is beginning to look like a must-win game.

North End were beaten 3-1 by Cardiff on Saturday but they created their share of chances, winning the shot count 14-13, and should be involved in another action-packed clash in front of the Sky cameras.

Phillip Cocu's visiting Rams have conceded 38 goals away from home, comfortably the worst of any team in the Championship's top half.

However, they carry plenty of attacking threat and have notched at least twice in five of their last six matches away from Pride Park.
