Match preview

Fulham are on the board at the seventh time of asking but West Ham are no West Brom and can put Scott Parker's upstarts back in their box at the London Stadium.

A 2-0 win over the Baggies saw Fulham move on to the four-point mark and out of the bottom three. But the Hammers are far sterner opponents than Slaven Bilic's men who, by their manager's admission, stank the Cottage out on Monday night.

West Ham have eight points which is a creditable effort given their last six matches have been against sides who finished in last season's top eight, culminating in Saturday's luckless 2-1 defeat at champions Liverpool.

If there's a side benefiting from empty stadiums it's West Ham, where it doesn't take much for season-ticket holders to start clambering on the backs of the players, and they look a different team.

David Moyes has gone with five at the back since their opening-day defeat at home to Newcastle, wary of the threats the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool carry.

He can tweak that into a 3-4-3 against Fulham and instantly it looks a more positive set-up against a side who were struggling to keep teams out. The win over West Brom was their first clean sheet and they look more secure with Tosin Adarabioyo at the heart of the back line.

But the threat from West Ham comes out wide, where Arthur Masuaka looks reborn and Vladimir Coufal and Jarrod Bowen are developing a decent understanding down the right flank.

Defensively West Ham are solid. Only four teams have allowed more shots on goal than the Hammers, which is impressive given the calibre of teams they have been playing against.

Key stat

Only four teams have won more first-half points than West Ham this season.
