West Ham vs Fulham predictions

Graham Potter's West Ham reign began with a deflating defeat to Aston Villa in the FA Cup and things are unlikely to get much better for the Hammers when they take on Fulham in the Premier League.

Potter replaced Julen Lopetegui as West Ham boss last week and saw his side take the lead after just nine minutes at Villa Park on Friday night. But any hopes of a new-manager bounce were quashed by second-half goals from Amadou Onana and Morgan Rogers as the Hammers lost 2-1 in the Midlands.

Potter inherits a side short on confidence and low on numbers, with the absence of Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio and Niclas Fullkrug blunting the Irons' attacking output.

That will make it an awful lot harder for Potter to have an immediate impact and Hammers fans may have to temper expectations ahead of his first league and home game at the helm.

Visitors Fulham are stationed in the top half of the Premier League table and Marco Silva's men eased to a 4-1 win over Championship side Watford in the FA Cup on Thursday night.

An extra day of rest can make a difference at this stage of the season albeit the Cottagers are in better form than their hosts anyway, having gone nine matches unbeaten in all competitions.

Fulham have faced Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea during that run, although there have been six draws compared to three wins in that time.

And while Fulham are well placed to claim three points at the London Stadium, punters may want to err on the side of caution by backing them in the draw-no-bet market.

West Ham vs Fulham bet builder predictions

Fulham or draw double chance
Fulham are unbeaten in their last nine games in all competitions and they can again avoid defeat when they face the injury-hit Hammers.

Raul Jimenez to score
Raul Jimenez has struck eight goals in this season's Premier League and, on penalty duty, he is a worthwhile pick to score at the London Stadium.

Sasa Lukic to be carded
