Team news

Tottenham
Antonio Conte says Heung-Min Son and Cristian Romero will play despite the pair only returning from injury recently. Eric Dier, Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga remain unavailable.

Wolves
Joao Moutinho is a doubt with the calf injury that kept him out of the Arsenal game. Pedro Neto, Willy Boly and Yerson Mosquera are all out.

Match preview

Tottenham’s top-four ambitions have taken a hit with consecutive league losses but their extra quality should see them get back on track at the expense of Wolves.

Manager Antonio Conte put the 3-2 midweek reverse against Southampton down to poor game management and that will need to improve for the visit of a well-drilled Wolves side.

Bruno Lage’s men have proved a headache for the majority of opponents, in particular the sides above them.

None of their eight meetings with teams higher in the table have featured more than one goal, a trend that started with Spurs escaping Molineux with a 1-0 win in August.

That narrow victory came during Nuno Espirito Santo’s brief reign and Tottenham have improved since his departure, winning six of 11 league games under Conte.

In a game that’s bound to be tight given Wolves’ style, Spurs’ superior firepower could make all the difference against a visiting team who have now failed to score in their last two outings following a 1-0 loss to Arsenal on Thursday.
