Team news

Sheffield United
Enda Stevens and Ethan Ampadu are both doubts. Jack O'Connell is nursing a long-term injury.

Leicester City
Timothy Castagne, Daniel Amartey and Ricardo Pereira are out. Caglar Soyuncu is unlikely to figure.

Match preview

Trouble looms if teams allow Leicester to play on the counter, which should ensure Chris Wilder takes a cagey approach when the Foxes set foot on Bramall Lane.

Four of Leicester's six wins have come on the road this season which helps to explain why they are around the even-money mark for this assignment.

Brendan Rodgers's side would have been shorter still were they not on a run of no wins in four, and that's a sequence that could quite plausibly be extended to five here.

Leicester love teams coming on to them – hence their general excellence on the road – but Sheffield United are unlikely to wander into their trap.

United are bottom of the Premier League, the only team in the top flight without a win, short of goals and with the pressure piling on the manager.

The league table probably doesn't lie after ten rounds of matches but United have been short of luck.

They have been hammered once – 4-1 at Chelsea – but their defeats against Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City were all by one goal. Indeed, they've conceded fewer than Liverpool and Everton.

Their undoing in tight games is the absence of a goalscorer. The Blades have scored a mere four goals and two of those were penalties.

Don't expect Wilder to panic. Do expect his side to battle away and finally get something out of one of these tight matches they keep being involved in.

Key stat

Sheffield United haven't kept a clean sheet in their last 14 competitive matches.
