Preview

Leicester's James Maddison scored a brilliant goal in the Foxes' much-needed Premier League win at Burnley on Tuesday and he should fancy his chances of testing Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier from distance on Saturday.

Maddison came off the bench to break the deadlock at Turf Moor with a delicious left-footed strike from outside the penalty area, having scored twice from a similar range in last week's Europa Conference League win at Randers.

Leeds, still missing England midfield enforcer Kalvin Phillips, conceded 20 goals in their last five league matches under Marcelo Bielsa and they may struggle to keep tabs on Maddison.

The midfielder had three shots in a 16-minute substitute appearance at Wolves two weeks ago and is a solid bet to have at least one attempt on target from outside the box.

Leicester's win at Burnley kept the Clarets in the relegation zone and they face a tough home fixture against Chelsea.

Midfielder Josh Brownhill is almost 4-1 to be shown a card against the European champions and those odds are tempting given that he has been booked in four of his last six appearances.

Chelsea's holding midfielders Mateo Kovacic, N'Golo Kante and Jorginho do not shy away from a challenge and Brownhill, who picked up a yellow card in November's 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge, is likely to be in the thick of the action.

In the same game, Chelsea wing-back Reece James will be hoping to make his first start of 2022 after substitute appearances in Sunday's EFL Cup final and Wednesday's FA Cup tie at Luton.

James's injury absence has coincided with the goals drying up for the Blues' forwards and, having racked up six assists in 16 domestic starts this season, the England international is worth a small bet to set up a goal at Burnley.

Stuart Armstrong came on as a half-time sub in Southampton's midweek FA Cup win over West Ham but the Scot should return to the starting 11 at Aston Villa.

After a long goal drought, Armstrong has scored twice in his last six appearances, against Coventry in the FA Cup and Everton in the league, and he merits a first-goalscorer bet at 16-1.

He certainly has licence to get forward in Ralph Hasenhuttl's formation, as proved by his recent tallies of seven shots against Norwich, four against Manchester United and four in the 3-2 win at Tottenham.
