Previews

One of the issues with Newcastle’s five-at-the-back formation is that it often leaves Matt Ritchie, who is not a natural defender, with sole responsibility for the opposition’s winger.

Ritchie has racked up nine fouls so far this season, putting him in the top 20 in the Premier League, and has been booked in consecutive games for fouls on widemen Raphinha and Ismaila Sarr.

The Scotsman will get no respite against Wolves, with either Adama Traore, Daniel Podence or Francisco Trincao to mark. The left-sided player has been booked three times in six games against Bruno Lage’s side.

Opponents of Wolves have also received the most cards in the league this season - 17 - and Ritchie looks overpriced to pick up another.

Brighton’s success this campaign is due to many different factors but their threat from set plays has been key.

They face an Arsenal side who have conceded the highest xG from set pieces with 2.9 and only Liverpool and West Ham have had more shots from such situations than the Seagulls' 15.

Shane Duffy has been Graham Potter’s primary weapon from dead-ball situations, so much so that he has accumulated the second most shots of any Brighton player this season with ten.

23-10 for him to have a shot on target catches the eye. A small interest may also be taken in him to score at any time at 9-1 with the same firms.

In the early kick-off, Everton may look to exploit set pieces against Manchester United just as Aston Villa did last week. As a result, Lucas Digne is of interest to pick up an assist.

The left-back is known for his set piece delivery and has racked up 14 assists in the last two seasons. The 13-2 on offer looks generous, given he is as short as 5-2 with other firms.
