Saturday's Premier League 3pm predictions

Fulham vs Everton predictions

Fulham have been losing ground in the battle for European qualification and may struggle to justify favouritism against Everton at Craven Cottage.

There is more riding on the outcome for Marco Silva's side, who are just two points below eighth-placed Bournemouth.

However, Fulham have lost three of their last four games and the exception was a far from convincing 2-1 victory away to basement boys Southampton when Ryan Sessegnon popped up with an injury-time winner.

Everton are certain to finish somewhere between 12th and 17th, but their safe status seems to be having minimal impact on performances which have been generally fully committed and organised since early January when David Moyes returned to the club.

The Toffees have lost just four of their last 15 league games and are boosted by the availability of key attacking midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure.

They have established themselves as a tough team to play against and can claim at least a point against a Fulham side on the slide and potentially short of midfield muscle, with Harrison Reed ruled out and Sasa Lukic rated doubtful.

Fulham vs Everton team news

Fulham: Andreas Pereira could return to contention but Harrison Reed, Rodrigo Muniz, Timothy Castagne and Reiss Nelson are sidelined. Sasa Lukic is a doubt.
Everton: Abdoulaye Doucoure is back in the mix but Orel Mangala, James Tarkowski and Jesper Lindstrom are unavailable.

Fulham vs Everton predicted line-ups

Fulham (4-2-3-1): Leno; Tete, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Cairney, Berge; Sessegnon, Wilson, Iwobi; Jimenez.
Everton (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Patterson, O'Brien, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Gueye, Garner; McNeil, Doucoure, Ndiaye; Beto.

Fulham vs Everton key stat

Fulham have lost five of their last seven matches.

Everton or draw double chance

Ipswich vs Brentford predictions

Eighth spot in the Premier League this season could result in Conference League qualification and one of the sides in the running, Brentford, can boost their chances of making it with victory away to Ipswich.

The Bees are level on 52 points with Brighton and just one point behind Bournemouth in the race for the final potential European berth and they have form on their side.

Thomas Frank's men are unbeaten in their last five matches in the Premier League, reeling off three straight wins over Brighton, Nottingham Forest and Manchester United.

Their front three of Yoane Wissa, Bryan Mbeumo and Kevin Schade have excelled this season, netting 46 of their 62 league goals and all reaching double figures.

They could rip into an Ipswich defence which has leaked 76 league goals and will be missing Leif Davis this weekend.

The Tractor Boys have been down and out for some time and the goals have flowed in their recent matches with each of their last seven fixtures having produced over 2.5 goals, which should be coupled with a Brentford win for a value bet.

Ipswich vs Brentford team news

Ipswich: Leif Davis is suspended for the Tractor Boys but Ben Johnson is back from a ban. Ipswich have a lengthy injury list with Wes Burns, Jaden Philogene, Chiedozie Ogbene, Sammie Szmodics and Conor Townsend among those sidelined. Jens Cajuste and Kalvin Phillips are doubts.
Brentford: Aaron Hickey is not yet ready to feature but Igor Thiago could again make the squad. Josh Dasilva and Vitaly Janelt are out.

Ipswich vs Brentford predicted line-ups

Ipswich (4-2-3-1): Palmer; Tuanzebe, O'Shea, Burgess, Greaves; Morsy, Taylor; Hutchinson, Chaplin, Enciso; Delap.
Brentford  (4-3-3): Flekken; Kayode, Collins, Van den Berg, Lewis-Potter; Jensen, Norgaard, Damsgaard; Mbeumo, Wissa, Schade.

Ipswich vs Brentford key stat

Ipswich's last eight Premier League fixtures have averaged 3.5 goals per game.

Best bet for Ipswich vs Brentford

Brentford to win and over 2.5 goals
2pts 23-20 general

Southampton vs Manchester City predictions

After looking set for a battle to secure a Champions League place at the turn of the year, Manchester City have enjoyed their usual late-season surge to put themselves in a great position to save a disappointing campaign.

The Citizens will have one eye on next weekend’s FA Cup final but Pep Guardiola will reiterate the importance of this trip to Southampton as a win would all but secure their place in the top five.

City must be aware of complacency as they face already-relegated opponents, but they have shown a level of professionalism in recent weeks which was sorely missed in the early part of the campaign.

Guardiola’s men are unbeaten in nine matches, winning each of the last five, and should face little resistance from the Saints, who have taken just two points from their last 33 available.

Southampton netted just seven goals across those 11 games and while Simon Rusk has overseen glimmers of improvement, they are unlikely to find much joy against a City defence who have kept three straight clean sheets on the road.

Southampton vs Manchester City team news

Southampton: Simon Rusk has confirmed that Saints have no injury concerns.
Manchester City: Rodri and Nathan Ake are back in training but this game comes too soon for the pair, as well as John Stones and Oscar Bobb. Erling Haaland is set for his first start since sustaining his ankle injury.

Southampton vs Manchester City predicted line-ups

Southampton (3-4-2-1): Ramsdale; Harwood-Bellis, Bednarek, Stephens; Walker-Peters, Downes, Ugochukwu, Manning; Fernandes, Sulemana; Onuachu.
Manchester City (4-2-3-1): Ederson; Nunes, Dias, Gvardiol, O'Reilly; Silva, Kovacic; Marmoush, De Bruyne, Doku; Haaland.

Southampton vs Manchester City key stat

Manchester City conceded just one goal across their five previous matches against the three relegated sides.

Best bet for Southampton vs Manchester City

Manchester City to win to nil

Wolves vs Brighton predictions

There were plenty of worries in Wolverhampton a few months ago that Championship football may return to Molineux, but it's all smiles now with manager Vitor Pereira the toast of the Black Country.

Disaster was averted by a six-match winning run that was ended by Manchester City last time out, but Wolves now sit comfortably in 13th and can look forward to making progress under their Portuguese gaffer next term.

Brighton visit having won just one of their last seven in the league, but they could still represent a strong test for Wolves as all of Wanderers' recent victories came against teams in the bottom six.

That winning feeling should have instilled some confidence though as the run did include victories over Europa League finalists Tottenham and Manchester United.

Brighton, who are still pushing for a European qualification spot, have failed to keep a clean sheet in nine, however, Albion can always be relied upon to be positive and it should lead to an open encounter with goals at both ends.

Wolves vs Brighton team news

Wolves: Hopes are high that striker Jorgen Strand Larsen will shake off a groin problem, but Leon Chiwone, Yerson Mosquera, Enso Gonzalez, Sasa Kalajdzic and Sam Johnstone are all out.
Brighton: Kaoru Mitoma has recovered from a calf injury but Joao Pedro is suspended and Solly March, Ferdi Kadioglu, Georginio Rutter and James Milner are all set to miss out.

Wolves vs Brighton predicted line-ups

Wolves (3-4-3): Sa; Doherty, Agbadou, T Gomes; Semedo, J Gomes, Andre, Ait-Nouri; Munetsi, Cunha, Bellegarde.
Brighton (4-2-3-1): Verbruggen; Wieffer, Van Hecke, Dunk, Estupinan; Baleba, Hinshelwood; Minteh, O'Riley, Mitoma; Welbeck.

Wolves vs Brighton key stat

There have been at least three goals in 11 of Brighton's last 12 league games

Over 2.5 goals & both teams to score
