Manchester City highlighted their Premier League title credentials with a superb 1-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Bookmakers had struggled to separate the teams in the title betting heading into the clash, but City were slashed to 6-5 to be crowned champions again with Gabriel Jesus's deflected second-half goal proving to be the difference.

City were excellent value for the win and should have claimed a more comfortable margin of success against a Chelsea side that spent most of the match on the back foot as Pep Guardiola's outfit gained a small slice of revenge for last season's Champions League final loss at the hands of Thomas Tuchel's team.

The Blues are out to 11-4 to win the Premier League and Manchester United were shoved out to 10-1 following a dramatic 1-0 reverse against Aston Villa at Old Trafford.

Bruno Fernandes, the preferred penalty taker over Cristiano Ronaldo, missed an injury-time spot-kick to equalise for United, who were beaten by Kortney Hause's header on 88 minutes.

Hause later handed United their chance to equalise but Fernandes blazed over.
