Saturday's Premier League 3pm predictions
Chelsea vs Brighton predictions
There were four ex-Brighton players in Chelsea’s starting line-up as they lost 2-1 to Manchester United last weekend and they may be hoping that they had a few more come the end of Saturday's clash between the teams.
The Blues are in the middle of an injury crisis that means 12 of their first-team players are either absent or doubts including Cole Palmer, Levi Colwill and Tosin Adarabioyo.
They were beaten by United last weekend when Robert Sanchez was sent off after five minutes and laboured against Lincoln in the EFL Cup on Tuesday, going a goal down before rallying to win 2-1.
Their recent record against Brighton does not inspire much confidence either, with Albion winning both meetings in 2025.
The Seagulls have already beaten Manchester City and held Tottenham to a draw this season, as well as putting six past Barnsley in midweek.
The visitors are fancied to at least avoid defeat and further increase the feeling that Chelsea’s start to the season has been underwhelming.
Chelsea vs Brighton team news & predicted line-ups
Chelsea
Cole Palmer has joined Wesley Fofana, Tosin Adarabioyo, Levi Colwill, Liam Delap and Dario Essugo on the sidelines. Romeo Lavia, Benoit Badiashile, Josh Acheampong and Marc Guiu will be assessed. Facundo Buonanotte is unable to face his parent club but Robert Sanchez has served his one-game ban.
Predicted line-up (4-2-3-1): Sanchez; James, Chalobah, Acheampong, Cucurella; Caicedo, Santos; Estevao, Fernandez, Neto; Pedro.
Brighton
Solly March, Adam Webster and Jack Hinshelwood remain out but Brighton have been handed a big boost with Maxim De Cuyper, Yankuba Minteh, Mats Wieffer and Brajan Gruda all being passed fit.
Predicted line-up (4-2-3-1): Verbruggen; Veltman, Dunk, Van Hecke, De Cuyper; Baleba, Ayari; Minteh, Gomez, Mitoma; Rutter.
Chelsea vs Brighton key stat
Chelsea have only won three of the last nine Premier League meetings with Brighton
Best bet for Chelsea vs Brighton
Brighton or draw double chance
2pts 10-11 general

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool predictions
The only two unbeaten teams remaining in the Premier League face off at Selhurst Park as Crystal Palace host Liverpool.
The Reds have won all five of their games but they have left it late in all of those victories and they will have to be at their best to continue that run against Oliver Glasner’s men.
The Eagles have dealt well with losing their best player, Eberechi Eze, in the summer and although they have had a gentle fixture list, their two goals conceded is the best tally in the top flight.
In fact Palace are on the longest unbeaten run of any team in the Premier League (11 matches) and will prove a tough nut to crack for the league leaders.
The hosts more than held their own in the Community Shield, drawing 2-2 with Liverpool before winning on penalties.
It may take a while for this game to open up and, considering the exploits of Arne Slot’s side this season, the second half featuring more goals than the first makes plenty of appeal.
Crystal Palace vs Liverpool team news & predicted line-ups
Crystal Palace
Cheick Doucoure, Chadi Riad and Caleb Kporha are out. Ismaila Sarr and Yeremy Pino are back in training and should start.
Predicted line-up (3-4-2-1): Henderson; Richards, Lacroix, Guehi; Munoz, Wharton, Hughes, Mitchell; Sarr, Pino; Mateta
Liverpool
Young centre-back Giovanni Leoni will be out for a year with the ACL injury he suffered in the EFL Cup win over Southampton. Hugo Ekitike is suspended after being sent off in that game, so Alexander Isak could make his first league start.
Predicted line-up (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Szoboszlai, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Wirtz, Gakpo; Isak
Crystal Palace vs Liverpool key stat
Neither team has conceded a goal before half-time in this season's Premier League.
Best bet for Crystal Palace vs Liverpool
Second half to be the highest scoring

Leeds vs Bournemouth predictions
A late Lukas Nmecha penalty against Everton was Leeds's only goal in their first four Premier League matches but they turned on the style against bottom club Wolves last weekend.
Having fallen behind in the first ten minutes at Molineux, Daniel Farke's men roared back to lead 3-1 at half-time with summer signings Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anton Stach and Noah Okafor on target.
That goal glut may have been a false dawn for the 2024-25 Championship winners and Bournemouth are a tasty price to win a low-scoring contest at Elland Road.
The Cherries have rebuilt their defence in impressive fashion following the summer sales of Milos Kerkez, Dean Huijsen and Illia Zabarnyi.
They have conceded only once in four games since a chaotic 4-2 defeat at champions Liverpool on the opening night of the season, beating Wolves and Tottenham 1-0 and Brighton 2-1.
Newcastle had one shot on target and an xG of 0.14 in their goalless draw at Bournemouth last weekend and Andoni Iraola's Cherries can extend their fine start to the season.
Leeds vs Bournemouth team news & predicted line-ups
Leeds
Dan James and Jayden Bogle are expected to be fit but Wilfried Gnonto and goalkeeper Lucas Perri are injured.
Predicted line-up (4-3-3): Darlow; Justin, Rodon, Struijk, Gudmundsson; Stach, Ampadu, Longstaff; Aaronson, Calvert-Lewin, Okafor
Bournemouth
Adam Smith and Enes Unal remain sidelined for the Cherries and Lewis Cook is doubtful after suffering a shoulder injury in training.
Predicted line-up (4-2-3-1): Petrovic; Jimenez, Diakite, Senesi, Truffert; Adams, Scott; Semenyo, Kluivert, Brooks; Evanilson
Leeds vs Bournemouth key stat
Bournemouth have been leading at half-time and full-time in three of their last four league matches
Best bet for Leeds vs Bournemouth
Bournemouth to win & under 3.5 goals

Manchester City vs Burnley predictions
Manchester City showcased their defensive grit at Arsenal last Sunday, at least until a deft late finish from Gabriel Martinelli gave the Gunners a 1-1 draw.
That goal was a blow for Pep Guardiola, who took off Phil Foden and Erling Haaland in an attempt to close out victory, but City are long odds-on to bounce back at home to promoted Burnley.
Hotshot Haaland sat out Wednesday's 2-0 EFL Cup win at Huddersfield but is fit to face Burnley, who lost 3-0 at Tottenham and 3-2 at Manchester United in their first two away matches.
The Clarets' head-to-head record against City is horrendous: 13 straight defeats in all competitions by an aggregate score of 46-2.
They have competed well in the early weeks of this season, conceding late penalties to lose against Manchester United and Liverpool, and taking four points from home games against Sunderland and Nottingham Forest.
But City are far less of a soft touch than they were last season and they can claim a third straight home victory to nil, having beaten United 3-0 and Napoli 2-0 this month.
Manchester City vs Burnley team news & predicted line-ups
Manchester City
Erling Haaland has overcome a slight back injury but the Citizens are missing Abdukodir Khusanov, Omar Marmoush, Rayan Cherki and Rayan Ait-Nouri. Mateo Kovacic could return to the squad and Rico Lewis and Matheus Nunes are competing for a start at right-back.
Predicted line-up (4-1-4-1): Donnarumma; Lewis, Dias, Gvardiol, O'Reilly; Rodri; Bernardo, Reijnders, Foden, Doku; Haaland
Burnley
Jacob Bruun Larsen is a doubt for the Clarets, who are without the injured Jordan Beyer, Connor Roberts and Zeki Amdouni.
Predicted line-up (5-4-1): Dubravka; Walker, Laurent, Ekdal, Esteve, Hartman; Tchaouna, Cullen, Ugochukwu, Anthony; Foster
Manchester City vs Burnley key stat
Manchester City have won their last 13 league and cup meetings with Burnley – 11 of them to nil
Best bet for Manchester City vs Burnley
Manchester City to win to nil
