Team news

Sam Byram, Christoph Zimmerman and Dimitrios Giannoulis are all out. Josh Sargent is a doubt while Milot Rashica, Billy Gilmour and Todd Cantwell were dropped against Arsenal but could be recalled.

Watford
Kiko Femenia is expected to miss out, while Ben Foster, Dan Gosling and Joao Pedro are doubtful also. Craig Cathcart was left out against Wolves but looks likely to return to the starting line-up.

Match preview

It may be too early in the season to be talking of relegation six-pointers, but Watford’s trip to Norwich certainly feels like one.

The Canaries have endured a tough start to life back in the Premier League, playing Liverpool, Manchester City, Leicester and Arsenal in their first four.

Watford’s re-entry has been kinder and they beat Aston Villa on the opening day but three losses since mean that this game is crucial for both teams.

The Hornets’ away form is a big worry. They have lost their last eight Premier League away matches either side of relegation and in the Championship last season they dropped 37 points on the road compared to just eight at home.

In a tight game, Norwich are fancied to secure a vital home win. With the first four games out of the way, Daniel Farke’s side can get their first points of the season on the board.

Key stat

Watford dropped 37 points away from home last season, compared to just eight at Vicarage Road.
