Manchester City's winning run is ended by dogged Palace
Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus injured
Manchester City fell short of equalling the European record for most consecutive league wins and they were a late missed penalty away from losing their chance to go through the Premier League season unbeaten in a dramatic goalless draw at Crystal Palace.
Luka Milivojevic had the opportunity to inflict City's first top-flight defeat of the campaign but his weak effort was saved by Ederson in added time, much to the chagrin of bookmakers who have built up large liabilities on City matching Arsenal's Invincibles.
However, the layers can't be too greedy and City's failure at odds of just 2-7 in their bid to win for the 19th time in succession will have been costly for many punters. The 0-0 stalemate had been 25-1 and the draw 11-2.
Bet365 now quote 9-2 that City go through the league season without tasting defeat and, despite the disappointing draw, Pep Guardiola's side are 14 points clear of nearest challengers Chelsea and remain 1-50 for the title.
Of bigger concern than two dropped points will be injuries to Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus which forced both men off at Selhurst Park.
Guardiola has said Jesus will be out for between one and two months with a knee injury, while De Bruyne is unlikely to face Watford at the Etihad on Tuesday.
Palace remain 17th and have been eased to 4-1 to be relegated and West Brom can be backed at 10-11 in the same market after they held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw at the Hawthorns.
A late own goal looked to have gifted the Gunners maximum points but a controversial penalty converted by Jay Rodriguez helped West Brom move up one spot to 19th.
