Manchester United v Burnley Bet Builder preview

Under 2.5 goals

Manchester United's three games under Ralf Rangnick have generated just four goals and there are unlikely to be many fireworks against Burnley, who will be focused on keeping things tight.

There was a lack of invention from the Red Devils in their 1-1 draw at Newcastle on Monday and their chief creator, Bruno Fernandes, sits out the Burnley contest due to a one-match ban.

United looked shaky at the back on Tyneside but their defenders could have an easier time against the cautious Clarets.

Burnley need to offer more of a goal threat if they are to achieve survival but they would gladly settle for a low-scoring draw at Old Trafford.

Burnley or draw double chance

Burnley are struggling to win games but they have been tough to beat in recent times – losing just one of their last seven Premier League fixtures – and may avoid defeat against stuttering United.

Pressure is building on United, who have fallen behind Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham in the scrap for fourth place, but there are no guarantees of a victory against Sean Dyche's well-organised outfit.

Scott McTominay to be booked

Scott McTominay was one of the few Manchester United players to play with energy and intent in the dismal draw on Tyneside and should keep his place in the side.

The Scot has a key role because most of his team-mates will be focused on pushing forward and attempting to prise open Burnley's rigid defence.

However, he doesn't always time his tackles to perfection and could pick up his fifth yellow card of the league campaign.
