Team news

Manchester City
Rico Lewis hobbled off against Tottenham and looks unlikely to start, Ruben Dias and Kevin De Bruyne look prime candidates to return to the starting line-up.

Wolves
Long-term absentees Pedro Neto, Chiquinho, Sasa Kalajdzic and Boubacar Traore remain out. Goncalo Guedes has returned to Benfica but new signing Pablo Sarabia could feature.

Match preview

Manchester City had to rally from 2-0 down to get the better of Tottenham on Thursday and after the match Pep Guardiola asked both the fans of the club and his players to produce more "guts, passion, fire to win from minute one".

The Citizens are not at the level they were last season and Guardiola will be hoping the comeback against Spurs can be the catalyst for an improvement in performances.

They face a Wolves side who remain in a relegation battle despite some high-profile signings and their undoubted improvement under Julen Lopetegui.

The strugglers could take advantage of a Manchester City defence who have not been their usual rock-solid self. The Citizens have conceded just six fewer goals already this campaign than they did in the whole of last season.

Both teams have scored in seven of City’s last nine home league games and there could be more goals here as Guardiola’s men claim another home win.
