Liverpool vs Arsenal bet builder

Both teams to score

Liverpool's first three matches of the season, including the Community Shield against Crystal Palace, ended 2-2, 4-2 and 3-2 so both teams to score looks a solid foundation for a bet builder on Sunday's big game.

Both of the Premier League champions' meetings with Arsenal last season ended 2-2 and there have been goals at both ends in ten of Liverpool's last 11 games.

The Gunners pride themselves on their mean defence. Goalkeeper David Raya shared the Golden Glove with Nottingham Forest's Matz Sels last season and started the new campaign with clean sheets against Manchester United and Leeds.

However, Raya had to be at his best at Old Trafford, making seven saves, and he can expect another busy shift against Liverpool's star-studded attacking unit.

Jurrien Timber to be shown a card

Arsenal right-back Jurrien Timber claimed two goals and an assist in his 64 minutes of playing time against Leeds last weekend but his defensive qualities will be tested at Anfield.

Timber is one of the Gunners' leading card candidates and he picked up his first booking of the 2025-26 campaign against Manchester United despite coming on only for the final 20 minutes.

The Netherlands international received seven yellow cards in 27 league starts last term and could be up against in-form compatriot Cody Gakpo.

Striker Hugo Ekitike, brimming with confidence after scoring in his first three Liverpool appearances, also likes to drift out to the left flank so Timber may struggle to stay out of trouble.

Cody Gakpo to have two or more shots

There will be fierce competition for places in Liverpool's attacking unit this season with Ekitike, Florian Wirtz and, possibly, Alexander Isak arriving this summer.

However, Dutch forward Gakpo has reminded manager Arne Slot of his qualities, scoring with one of his three shots against Bournemouth in the opening game of the Reds' title defence.

The left-winger, who opened the scoring in this fixture last season, set up two of the Reds' three goals at Newcastle on Monday and is worth backing to have two or more shots against Arsenal.

He has played the full 90 minutes in both of Liverpool's Premier League matches and had a strong 2024-25 campaign, scoring 18 goals in all competitions at a rate of one every 150 minutes.
