Fulham have failed to win any of their last 24 London derbies in the top flight and while most of those would have been against top-six mainstays, Saturday's opponents Brentford have been playing with a top-half swagger and could add to the Cottagers’ capital clash woes.

An opening 2-2 draw at Leicester was followed by that stunning 4-0 demolition of Manchester United last weekend which is enough to inspire any group of players, and Thomas Frank’s Bees look super lively and super solid, with a clear goal threat from set-pieces, an intense press and pace to burn.

Fulham have looked much better organised than they were in their last Premier League campaign two seasons ago, largely down to the arrival of Portuguese midfield anchor Joao Palhinha.

The Cottagers have drawn their first two, giving Liverpool a real test before a 0-0 stalemate at Wolves, but the buzzing Bees could halt the hosts’ unbeaten start.
