Arsenal v Crystal Palace

Team news

Arsenal
Reiss Nelson (knee) is the Gunners' only absentee. Alexandre Lacazette may start on the bench after returning from injury in the Europa League.

Crystal Palace
Vicente Guaita and Martin Kelly face fitness tests. Connor Wickham and Mamadou Sakho are injured.

Verdict

Crystal Palace face a tough run of fixtures but they were far from disgraced in a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City and may trouble an Arsenal side they beat 3-2 in April.

The Gunners have shown their defensive frailties this week, losing at Sheffield United and needing two late Nicholas Pepe free-kicks to edge out Vitoria 3-2 at home.

Wilfried Zaha is yet to score this term but he could break his duck at the Emirates, the scene of one of his nine away league goals last season.

Key stat

Arsenal have lost only one of their last 22 home league games – against Crystal Palace in April.

Norwich v Manchester United

Team news

Norwich
Timm Klose, Mario Vrancic, Ralf Fahrmann, Grant Hanley and Christoph Zimmermann are out but Ben Godfrey should be fit.

Manchester United
Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw, Nemanja Matic, Diogo Dalot and Eric Bailly are likely to miss out. Axel Tuanzebe (hip) is a doubt.

Verdict

The goals have dried up for Norwich since their stunning 3-2 win over Manchester City and the Canaries have taken only one point from fixtures against Burnley, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Bournemouth.

Manchester United aren’t in much better nick despite ending Liverpool’s winning run with a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

United’s nine league games this term have produced only 19 goals and, after a 1-0 win in Europe on Thursday, another low-scoring contest looks likely.

Key stat

Manchester United have scored just ten goals in nine league games – the same number as Norwich.
