Brighton v Everton

Team news

Brighton
Aaron Mooy serves a one-match ban while Jose Izquierdo and Bernardo are injured.

Everton
Yerry Mina is a major doubt so Mason Holgate could start in defence. Seamus Coleman returns from suspension.

Verdict

Everton produced a spirited performance and a vital win for Marco Silva at home to West Ham last weekend but they may struggle to follow up at Brighton.

The Toffees have taken one point from a possible 12 away from home this season despite a generous set of fixtures at Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Bournemouth and Burnley.

Brighton beat Tottenham 3-0 in their last home game after draws with Burnley and West Ham and another stalemate looks value.

Key stat

Everton have scored only once in four away Premier League games this season.

Watford v Bournemouth

Team news

Watford
Danny Welbeck (hamstring) joins Troy Deeney on the sidelines. Jose Holebas is suspended.

Bournemouth
Jefferson Lerma (hip) is back but David Brooks, Charlie Daniels and Junior Stanislas are still injured.

Verdict

Dele Alli’s 86th-minute goal for Tottenham denied Watford a first win of the season last weekend and bookmakers expect the Hornets to see off Bournemouth.

However, at the odds the Cherries make more appeal in a fixture that they won 4-0 last season.

Eddie Howe’s men are not the most reliable at the back but Watford, missing Danny Welbeck and Troy Deeney, may not be able to take advantage and Bournemouth have won at Aston Villa and Southampton this term.

Key stat

Eight of the last 11 meetings between these clubs have finished in draws.

West Ham v Sheffield United

Team news

West Ham
Aaron Cresswell (groin) should be fit but this game comes too soon for Winston Reid (knee).

Sheffield United
The Blades have no fresh injury problems following Monday’s home win over Arsenal.

Verdict

Sheffield United’s fine start to the season continued with Monday’s 1-0 win over Arsenal and the Blades are unlikely to make it easy for West Ham.

The clean sheet against the Gunners was their fourth shutout of the season and they held firm against leaders Liverpool for 70 minutes.

The Hammers have suffered back-to-back defeats to Crystal Palace and Everton while both teams have scored in only two of their last eight matches in all competitions.

Key stat

Sheffield United’s last five league games have featured just five goals.
