Fantasy Premier League tips: Top five transfers for FPL Gameweek 7
Here are some of the best players to consider transferring in ahead of Gameweek 7

Here are five players to consider for you Fantasy Premier League team ahead of gameweek seven, ranging from short-term punts to mainstays.
Ismaila Sarr – £6.4m, 4.1% ownership
Crystal Palace remain the only unbeaten side in the Premier League after their last-minute win over Liverpool last weekend. Ismaila Sarr is the standout option in their attack, which hasn’t been as badly affected by Eberechi Eze’s departure as many feared.
The winger scored twice in the opening three matches before missing the next two through injury, but he returned with an immediate impact against Liverpool by netting the opener. Despite those two weeks out, he has just three fewer points than Mo Salah.
Palace’s fixture list also boosts his appeal, with home games against Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton all to come in the next five gameweeks.
Yankuba Minteh – £5.9m, 2.2% ownership
Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh has also enjoyed a strong start to the season, registering a goal involvement in each of his last three matches. Operating from the right side of the Seagulls’ forward line, he offers plenty of appeal with the potential to provide for Georginio Rutter or Danny Welbeck.
The fixture list adds to his case, with a trip to bottom-of-the-table Wolves in gameweek seven, followed by Manchester United away and Leeds at home in gameweeks nine and ten.
Brighton’s attacking numbers are encouraging too. They are fourth in the league for expected goals per 90 minutes, having scored nine times across their opening six games.
Joe Rodon – £4.0m, 4.9% ownership
If you’re searching for a £4.0m enabler to free up funds for premium assets, Leeds United’s Joe Rodon is one of the standout options.
Consistent game time is vital at this price point and Rodon has started every match so far, making him Leeds’ highest-scoring defender. His returns have been a mix of clean sheets (two), defensive contributions, and even a goal in the most recent gameweek.
The defensive contributions are particularly eye-catching, he’s reached at least ten in two matches already and posted nine in each of the last two, narrowly missing out on two bonus points both times.
Looking ahead, Leeds host Tottenham in gameweek seven before a promising trip to face promoted rivals Burnley in gameweek eight.

Ollie Watkins – £8.7m, 9.8% ownership
As a one-week punt, Ollie Watkins stands out as Aston Villa welcome Burnley to Villa Park.
Both the England striker and Villa looked short on confidence in the early stages of the campaign, but a midweek Europa League win over Bologna and a 3-1 victory against Fulham in the league will have lifted spirits.
Watkins opened his account with a clever chip in that Fulham clash and, with the pressure now eased, he shapes as a major threat this weekend, making him one of the most attractive forward options for gameweek seven.
Erling Haaland – £14.4m, 54.4% ownership
There is absolutely no reason the game’s highest scorer shouldn’t be in your FPL team.
Erling Haaland looks as sharp as ever, a worrying thought for opponents, having found the net in each of his last seven appearances for club and country, racking up 13 goals in that run.
Manchester City travel to Brentford in gameweek seven, with the Bees among five sides to have already conceded 11 or more. Pep Guardiola’s men then host Everton in gameweek eight, another fixture that points towards heavy Haaland involvement.
All player prices and ownership percentages are subject to change.
