With the first international break of the season out of the way, here are some of the best players to consider transferring in ahead of Gameweek 4

The Premier League is back on Saturday and fantasy managers up and down the country will be tinkering with their squads ahead of Gameweek 4 in search of points.

Here are five players who could rack up the points this weekend.

Erling Haaland – £14.1m, 32.4% ownership

Manchester City’s number nine remains the standout forward in FPL, and last gameweek’s 2-1 defeat to Brighton doesn’t change that.

He heads into Gameweek 4 after scoring six goals and providing two assists for Norway during the international break and Haaland has already scored three Premier League goals this season.

Haaland also appeals because of City’s upcoming fixtures.

On Sunday they face Manchester United, a side who recently conceded twice to League Two Grimsby in the League Cup and another two against newly promoted Burnley. The Norwegian boasts six goals and three assists in just five Premier League meetings with United.

After the derby, City play Arsenal, another side he enjoys facing, with four goals and two assists in six league meetings, followed by Burnley (H), Brentford (A) and Everton (H).

Daniel Munoz – £5.5m, 11.3% ownership

Crystal Palace have started strongly on all fronts, conceding just once in the Premier League and Europe. That makes investing in their defence attractive, and Munoz stands out thanks to his attacking threat.

Last season he was the Eagles’ top-scoring defender with 142 points, scoring four goals and adding six assists. He has already registered an assist this term alongside two clean sheets.

Palace’s prospects have been boosted by retaining Marc Guehi after his proposed move to Liverpool collapsed on deadline day.

The England centre-back is vital to their defensive solidity. The Eagles host Sunderland this weekend before travelling to West Ham the following week.

Marcos Senesi – £4.6m, 5.4% ownership

With three weeks of Premier League football behind us, we now have a clearer idea of defensive contribution magnets, a new scoring metric for FPL this season.

Bournemouth’s Senesi has impressed, tallying 43 defensive contributions, just one shy of league leader Virgil van Dijk. That’s an average of 14.3 per game, well above the ten required for the two bonus points.

He also offers attacking threat with one assist and is part of a disciplined Bournemouth backline with favourable fixtures ahead of them. The Cherries don’t face a side ranked higher than three on the fixture difficulty rating until Manchester City in Gameweek 10.

Jack Grealish – £6.7m, 15.8% ownership

Jack Grealish has slotted seamlessly into Everton's side and is rightly among the most transferred-in players for Gameweek 4. Revitalised under David Moyes, he’s been given freedom to draw fouls, beat defenders and create chances.

He has delivered four assists in two starts for the Toffees, in wins over Brighton and Wolves, and could feel he has a point to prove this weekend against former club Aston Villa.

Everton have a Merseyside derby against Liverpool after that, so FPL managers could opt to bench Grealish for that one before returning him to their side for a tempting fixture at home to West Ham.

Viktor Gyokeres – £9.0m, 24.7% ownership

Arsenal’s new striker is another excellent option. The Gunners face Nottingham Forest, who have endured a turbulent break following Nuno Espirito Santo’s sacking. Ange Postecoglou has been appointed but will have had little time with his new squad as players return from international duties.

Gyokeres scored twice against Leeds in Gameweek 2 and is tipped to be a popular pick by Gameweek 7, so moving early could be advantageous. He appears to be Arsenal’s first-choice penalty taker, and while the following weekend's game against Manchester City is tough, Arsenal have the quality to exploit an unsettled City defence.

All player prices and ownership percentages are subject to change.
