Team news

Crystal Palace
Wilfried Zaha and Tyrick Mitchell are both doubts. James McArthur, James Tomkins and Nathan Ferguson are long-term absentees.

Brentford
Brentford could be boosted by the return of defender Kristoffer Ajer, who is yet to feature this season due to a thigh injury, but fellow centre-backs Ethan Pinnock and Pontus Jansson winger Sergi Canos are sidelined.

Match preview

Just one point separates Crystal Palace and Brentford in the Premier League standings and it would be no surprise to see the two teams share the spoils at Selhurst Park on Tuesday night.

Both of last season's meetings ended all-square, but while those top-flight clashes finished 0-0 and lacked drama, there could be more entertainment on offer this time around.

Palace have scored in their three league fixtures since drawing a blank against Arsenal on the Premier League's opening night, including netting twice at champions Manchester City last time out and three in their most recent home fixture against Aston Villa.

The problem for Patrick Vieira's side has been keeping goals out at the other end, and they are yet to keep a clean sheet in the league this season.

It is a similar story for Brentford, who have scored in all four of their top-flight games with only Manchester City (13), Liverpool (13) and Arsenal (11) having registered more goals than the Bees' nine.

Both Palace and Brentford have already been involved in score draws this season. The Eagles claimed a 1-1 draw at Liverpool in their second match of the campaign while the Bees followed a 2-2 at Leicester on the opening weekend with a 1-1 against Everton on Saturday.

And that outcome could be on the cards at Selhurst given how well matched the London duo look.

Only Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal have scored more Premier League goals than Brentford this season.
