Crystal Palace defied odds of 25-1 to inflict a shock 3-2 defeat on champions Manchester City at the Etihad on Saturday and should justify favouritism on home soil against travel-sick Cardiff.

Having failed to score in five of their opening six home games, the Eagles have responded with consecutive wins and clean sheets over Burnley and Leicester and should have too much quality for a Cardiff side who have been troubled on their travels.

The Bluebirds have only one point to show from eight away fixtures and have netted just five times in the process.
