Team news

Brentford
Brentford are set to be without Christian Norgaard, Pontus Jansson, Thomas Strakosha and Aaron Hickey.

Chelsea
Wesley Fofana, Reece James and N'Golo Kante are all sidelined for the Blues, but Thiago Silva should be available despite feeling tightness in his hamstring last time out.

Match preview

Chelsea's biggest Premier League defeat last season came at home to Brentford, who ran out 4-1 winners in April's meeting between the sides, but the Blues can get their revenge when the teams clash at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The Blues are unbeaten in their first six games under Graham Potter, winning five of them, including a 2-0 success away to Aston Villa on Sunday.

Potter's side have a new steely nature to them, having won each of their last four matches to nil. And although they could have a tough time of it keeping tabs on in-form Ivan Toney, Chelsea have the discipline to grind out victory in this west London derby.

The Blues have been adept on the road this season, winning three of their five away league contests, as well as securing a 2-0 away win in Milan in the Champions League at the start of the month.
