Burnley v West Ham

Team news

Burnley
Chris Wood (hamstring) and Danny Drinkwater (ankle) could feature but Johann Berg Gudmundsson (calf) is injured.

West Ham
Jack Wilshere (groin) faces a fitness test and Lukasz Fabianki, Michail Antonio and Winston Reid remain sidelined.

Verdict

Burnley are the only Premier League team on a three-match losing sequence and their struggles may continue with a loss to West Ham at Turf Moor.

A lack of confidence could be an issue for both teams but West Ham might appreciate getting away from the London Stadium where they lost 3-2 to Newcastle last week.

There is less pressure on them to force the pace on the road and they can concentrate on getting the basics right and laying the platform for a fourth league victory of the season.

Key stat

West Ham have lost one of their last seven away league games.

Newcastle v Bournemouth

Team news

Newcastle
Sean Longstaff continues his three-game ban and Fabian Schar and Matt Ritchie remain injured.

Bournemouth
Jefferson Lerma serves a one-game ban and injured pair David Brooks and Andrew Surman are not ready to return.

Verdict

Steve Bruce is getting closer to winning over the Newcastle supporters but he may be denied a further boost by Bournemouth, who are decent value to win on Tyneside.

There have been positive signs from Newcastle, who thoroughly deserved last Saturday's 3-2 victory at West Ham.

But Bruce's side have looked better when playing on the counter-attack and they have won just one of six home fixtures this term.

Bournemouth are likely to sit back and play a patient game, knowing the pace and penetration of forwards Callum Wilson and Joshua King can win them the points.

Key stat

Newcastle have won one of their last seven home matches.

Southampton v Everton

Team news

Southampton
Cedric Soares (calf) is back in contention but Ryan Bertrand continues his suspension.

Everton
Andre Gomes (ankle) is out long-term and Fabian Delph (hamstring) is a doubt.

Verdict

Everton have mustered just one point from five Premier League away games this season and could be heading for defeat against lowly Southampton.

The match is important for Ralph Hasenhuttl and Marco Silva, who have been jostling for favouritism in the next manager to go market.

Hasenhuttl looked furious after Southampton's 9-0 loss to Leicester but his team were organised and fully committed when losing 2-1 at Manchester City last week and they look overpriced against the Toffees.

Key stat

Southampton have won five of their last six matches at home to Everton.

Tottenham v Sheffield United

Team news

Tottenham
Erik Lamela and Jan Vertonghen (both hamstring) are ruled out and Hugo Lloris (elbow) is a long-term absentee.

Sheffield United
Chris Wilder has admitted he is monitoring minor injuries to several players but has not named those affected.

Verdict

Tottenham have had a stop-start few months but they should make it two wins in a week for the first time this season by defeating Sheffield United.

There are statistical grounds to get behind the sixth-placed Blades, whose 14-game unbeaten away sequence stretches back to January.

But Spurs have better players and should have gained confidence from winning 4-0 at Red Star Belgrade on Wednesday.

Dele Alli is among a number of Spurs players getting closing to peak performance and he looks decent value to notch first.

Key stat

Tottenham have scored at least two goals in six of their last eight home matches.
