Belgian strikers could be worth following

Liverpool's leaky defence was exposed by Watford last week and set-pieces could be an area Crystal Palace target as they go in search of a remarkable fourth straight success at Anfield.

Powerful former Red Christian Benteke, a man known for his aerial prowess, has a brilliant record against Liverpool, scoring seven times in eight matches against the Merseysiders.

Benteke's minutes per goal record in dates with Liverpool is an excellent 103, while his Belgian international colleague Romelu Lukaku remains one to follow at Swansea.

He has a career MPG of 159 but that should come down following a full season at Old Trafford.

Leicester new boy Kelechi Iheanacho has the best career MPG in the Premier League, averaging a goal every 103 minutes and could make his home debut against Brighton if passed fit. The Seagulls have made an interesting signing themselves this week with Jose Izquierdo arriving from Club Brugge.

Colombian winger Izquierdo grabbed a goal every 154 minutes in Belgium last season and will be aiming to make an immediate impression, much like Jese at Stoke when the Potters welcome Arsenal to the bet365 Stadium.

Jese looked as if he had the world at his feet at Real Madrid but lost his way at Paris St-Germain and Las Palmas and that is highlighted by the difference in his career MPG and last season.

Overall Jese averages a goal every 172 minutes - better than Benteke, Alexis Sanchez and Wayne Rooney - but the 24-year-old's 2016-17 league MPG was a bitterly disappointing 355.

Tottenham host Chelsea at Wembley and perhaps interestingly Dele Alli seems to enjoy facing the champions.

Alli has three games in as many appearances against Chelsea for an MPG of 83 and is 11-5 with Betfair to deliver a knockout blow in an eagerly-anticipated London derby that sees Harry Kane going in search of his first ever domestic goal in August.
