Timm Klose is suspended following his red card against Manchester United while Christoph Zimmermann and Grant Hanley remain sidelined. Todd Cantwell is available but there are concerns over Lukas Rupp, Max Aarons and Adam Idah.
Match preview
Mikel Arteta's reign at Arsenal has been more repetition than revolution but the Gunners look to have been handed a good opportunity for a welcome Premier League success against Norwich.
Arsenal have won seven of their last ten matches in all competitions and on paper that seems a fairly impressive run. However, the performances and in particular the defending hasn't lived up to those results. That was evident when they conceded two late goals to lose at Brighton.
That said the Gunners have had to play four successive away matches with trips to Manchester City, Brighton, Southampton and Sheffield United. Back on home soil they have the attacking talent to cause the Canaries problems.
Arteta's side have lost just three Premier League games on their own patch, against Chelsea, Manchester City and Brighton, and they seem to reserve their best performances for the Emirates.
There still seems to be a problem finding a system to get the best from big guns Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe, while Eddie Nketiah's good scoring form has muddied the waters further. However, whoever gets the nod to start in attack for the Gunners should get plenty of joy against a potentially jaded Norwich side.
Daniel Farke is without suspended centre-back Timm Klose after his red card against Manchester United in the FA Cup and he joins fellow defenders Christoph Zimmermann and Grant Hanley on the sidelines.
It would have been difficult for Norwich to stop the Gunners firing even with their first-choice line-up but those absentees could help Arsenal to emerge as comfortable winners.
Key stat
Arsenal have lost just three Premier League home games this season
