Christian Eriksen's late goal was a body blow for Brighton but the Seagulls are still 5-1 to be relegated after losing 1-0 at Tottenham.

Chris Hughton's side hold a three-point lead and a significant goal difference over 18th-placed Cardiff with three Premier League matches remaining before Saturday's huge clash at home to Newcastle.

Brighton, who have not scored in their last seven matches, are 13-10 to claim a vital victory over Hughton's former club.

Albion's last two matches - away to Arsenal and home to Manchester City - don't offer much hope of points whereas Cardiff appear to have the easier run-in.

They are away to relegated Fulham and then host Crystal Palace before making the final-day trip to Manchester United. The Bluebirds are 1-7 to go back down to the Sky Bet Championship.

Eriksen's excellent strike to finally breach Brighton's packed rearguard means Tottenham need six more points to guarantee themselves Champions League football next season from their remaining matches against West Ham (home), Bournemouth (away) and Everton (home).

Betway rate Spurs 1-10 for a top-four finish.
