Liverpool 5-6 for Premier League glory after comeback 2-1 win over Tottenham
Liverpool remain favourites to win the Premier League after they came from behind to beat Tottenham 2-1 in an Anfield thriller.
Jurgen Klopp’s title-chasing Reds are 5-6 with bet365 for title glory but they had to work hard to see off Spurs after Harry Kane headed the visitors into a lead after just 47 seconds.
Paulo Gazzaniga produced a string of excellent saves in the Tottenham goal but Jordan Henderson levelled the scores after half-time before Mohamed Salah’s penalty took the hosts into a lead that they would not relinquish.
The Reds have re-established a six-point lead at the top of the table and they head the title betting ahead of even-money Manchester City. Tottenham, who have picked up just four points from their last five Premier League matches, are out to 13-8 for a top-four finish.
Spurs’ top-four rivals Arsenal looked to have done enough to beat Crystal Palace but Sokratis Papastathopoulos’s late winner was ruled out by VAR in a 2-2 draw at the Emirates. The Gunners, who led 2-0 after just nine minutes thanks to goals from Sokratis and David Luiz, were pegged back by the Eagles and are 6-5 to finish in the top four.
Manchester United, who are 7-2 to snare a Champions League place, beat Norwich 3-1 at Carrow Road despite Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial both missing penalty kicks while Newcastle let a lead slip in a 1-1 home draw with Wolves.
Second-bottom Norwich are 4-6 favourites to be relegated with rock-bottom Watford also odds-on with a number of firms.
