Match preview

It is second meets third in League One as Peterborough play host to Sunderland and this top-of-the-table tussle may make for an entertaining watch.

Second-placed Posh boast the best home form in the division with 14 wins from 18 matches while no side are averaging more points per game on their travels than Sunderland, who have lost only once from 18 road fixtures.

Peterborough are the league's leading scorers with 66 goals in 38 games - 43 of those have come at home - and they were emphatic 7-0 winners over Accrington in their last outing at London Road.

But the Black Cats, who are unbeaten in 11 having won nine of those games, have failed to score just twice in 28 appearances since Lee Johnson's appointment and the attacking presence of Charlie Wyke and Aiden McGeady make them a serious threat.

Key stat

Peterborough have failed to score in only one of their 18 home league matches this season.
