Central Coast Mariners are in choppy waters having failed to win any of their opening nine A-League matches this season and that sinking feeling could increase when high-flying Perth Glory swan into town.

The Mariners started the season with high hopes but they quickly evaporated as a pair of 1-1 draws have been followed by seven straight defeats including a 3-2 loss at Perth in round five, a result which sums up their season.

The Glory's victory came courtesy of a 95th-minute winner from Chris Ikonomidis and Central Coast have yet to recover.

It's 4-1 that they get revenge but that looks unlikely.

Perth have looked comfortable on their travels, winning three out of their four away assignments this season and they are 3-4 to secure a fourth win on the road.

It may not be as straightforward as that price suggests, though, as Perth have won just two of their 20 trips to the Central Coast Mariners Stadium and have failed to score on the last three occasions.

However, they've won their last two match-ups with the Mariners and warrant support in some form.

The match odds are slightly prohibitive but backing the Glory to win in a match featuring at least three goals looks the way to go.

Perth were beaten 2-1 by Sydney last time out but this looks a great opportunity to bounce back and they should be too strong for the hosts.

Recommendation
Perth Glory to win and over 2.5 goals
