3pm Saturday

Solihull made a real statement on Tuesday night when battering Chorley 6-1 to go top of the National League, and that should whet the appetite for more goals when they host Ebbsfleet.

The Moors have picked up ten points from a possible 12 and their strikers are certainly firing on all cylinders now. Nathan Blissett notched a hat-trick midweek, while a brace from Paul McCallum took his total to four on the season.

Ebbsfleet meanwhile are rock-bottom after four successive defeats, conceding 11 goals in that period. Given the current status of the two teams, Tim Flowers’ side should stamp their authority at Damson Park.

After that hammering from Solihull, Chorley’s confidence is likely to be rocked and Maidenhead can take advantage in the battle of the Magpies.

Alan Devonshire’s side have had a solid start to the season with two road wins at Stockport and Torquay, and after such a frail defence last year will be delighted to have only conceded twice so far.

Given the visitors are yet to register a win since their promotion from the National League North, Maidenhead look good value to edge Chorley at their unique York Road ground.

Dover have broken out as potential promotion contenders this season and should have enough to see off Torquay.

The Whites have won three from four, including impressive wins over Wrexham and Barnet, and should expose Torquay’s frailties at the back.

Recommendations
