Hartlepool can sink Solihull's promotion hopes

Hartlepool have been a difficult side to break down at home and could make it a tough trip for promotion-chasing Solihull.

Craig Hignett’s side have won three of their last five at Victoria Park as well as earning a draw against table-toppers Leyton Orient, and have scored in every home match since the start of September.

That may cause concern for Solihull, who have earned just two points from their last three while conceding twice in each of those. The stamina of the West Midlands team may be wavering at this crucial stage, and Hartlepool appear poised to take advantage.

Barnet have been fantastic at the back, keeping six consecutive clean sheets, and that may make the difference when they travel to in-form Maidenhead.

The hosts have picked up 13 points at home in their last five matches, but have found the net only six times in that period.

While results have been inconsistent for Darren Currie’s side, they will be full of confidence after smashing playoff contenders Eastleigh 3-0 away on Tuesday night, and are a good price to follow that up here.

Bromley secured a great win over Orient in midweek, and can stay in the top half of the table with victory over Aldershot.

The Shots have almost reached the point of no return as they sit 11 points from safety with five games remaining. The short trip to Hayes Lane could be a miserable one for manager Gary Waddock, as Bromley have won six of their last nine at home.
