Bruno Genesio's free-scoring Lyon side have won 5-0 on each of their last three road trips and should have too much firepower for Caen, who have scored ten league goals this season – the second-lowest tally in the division before this round of fixtures.

Caen have scored fewer than two goals in each of their last 11 games.

Marseille climbed into second place – their highest position of the season – after extending their unbeaten run in league games to ten with a 3-0 victory at Metz on Wednesday, but they could be held to a draw by Montpellier.

The hosts have lost just one of their last 11 matches and have the best defensive record in the division.

Montpellier have drawn five of their last nine league fixtures.
