Match preview
European teams have dominated their Club World Cup semi-finals and Liverpool should have few problems seeing off Mexican outfit Monterrey in Qatar.
Eight of the last nine European sides have been leading at half-time and gone on to claim a spot in the final against a variety of Asian and Concacaf representatives as Fifa keep the South American teams away from Uefa outfits until the final.
It often leads to one-sided contests and this should be no different, assuming Liverpool, the Premier League leaders and reigning champions of Europe, are focused on the job.
Mohamed Salah was the star turn for Saturday's 2-0 victory over Watford, while Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and even Divock Origi have played their part in Liverpool's outstanding last 18 months.
The Reds have dropped only two Premier League points all season and Monterrey were not overly impressive in seeing off Al Sadd in the previous round.
Xavi's hosts matched Monterrey for shots (17-17) and dominated possession with 63 per cent of the ball.
Key stat
Monterrey have scored in their last 14 matches.
