Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah was in inspired form in his side’s 5-2 demolition of Roma in the Champions League semi-final first leg and the Reds have now been cut from a best-priced 9-4 to 6-4 favourites with bet365 and Ladbrokes to lift the prestigious trophy.

The Egyptian international bagged a first-half brace as the Merseyside club stormed into a 5-0 lead with 20 minutes remaining, but late goals from Edin Dzeko and Diego Perotti restored some hope for the Italians.

The Wolves are now a best-priced 8-1 to advance to the final and need to replicate their quarter-final second-leg display against Barcelona, where they overturned a three-goal deficit, to knock Liverpool out.

Bayern Munich v Real Madrid preview

Midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been ruled out of the World Cup after he was stretchered off with a knee injury in the first 15 minutes following a challenge with Aleksandar Kolarov.
