Preview

Bohemians face Derry City in Friday's only League of Ireland Premier Division game, intent on strengthening their grip on second place in the table.

Bohs bounced back from a poor result at home to Waterford by beating Sligo last weekend. Derry beat the Gypsies earlier in the campaign and are capable of causing them problems but the prices seem about right.

St Patrick's are understandably favourites at home to Shelbourne, who might be worth chancing at 4-1. Shels have been competitive against the better sides in the league and, with home advantage of little relevance, they will have a great chance if they can score first. Pat's have gone six games without scoring.

Waterford versus Sligo is hard to call but Finn Harps look a bet at home to Cork City. City's away form is wretched, this is a tough place to go with the weather forecast not favourable, and Harps are far more battle-hardened. They will make it difficult for a side lacking confidence.

Shamrock Rovers are streets ahead of Dundalk right now and look a cracking bet at Oriel Park on Sunday.

Dundalk remain vulnerable and Rovers, who have gone an age without losing against domestic opposition, should dominate. Odds of 6-10 draw no bet are hugely appealing.

In Division One, Drogheda could be a touch big against Bray in what looks closer to a 50-50 game than the betting suggests, while Galway should continue their fine run at home to Cobh.
