Kilmarnock can finally grab home win by beating Partick Thistle

Kilmarnock can finally break a home hoodoo by beating Partick in the Ladbrokes Premiership at Rugby Park.

The Ayrshire side have achieved some impressive results on the road under new boss Steve Clarke.

But the ex-West Brom manager hasn't tasted victory at Killie's own stadium yet - they have won just twice in the league at home in 2017.

However, a visit from the struggling Jags could be just the tonic they need.

Killie were excellent last week when they won at St Johnstone. With Gary Dicker fit again, Eamonn Brophy looking a threat and Northern Ireland international Jordan Jones back from suspension, Clarke has plenty of attacking options.

Thistle have found goals a problem this season and Killie can go seven points clear of the Jags with a win.

Alloa can clinch victory at Station Park when they face Forfar.

The Wasps have lost their last two games, but they were playing against the best teams in Ladbrokes League One when they narrowly lost 2-1 to Ayr and Raith.

A trip to Angus shouldn't pose the same problems for a side who had won five games in a row previously.

Forfar have improved under new boss Jim Weir, but have still lost three games in a row, including a dismal William Hill Scottish Cup defeat at Highland League Formartine.

They are in for a long, hard relegation battle this term and Alloa, boosted by the recent fine form of Kevin Cawley, should bounce back to winning ways against the Loons.

Livingston should be fresh after their game with Falkirk was called off last week and they can underline their Ladbrokes Championship promotion credentials with a win at Dumbarton.

Dumbarton have overachieved again this season under manager Stevie Aitken and they gave St Mirren a surprising bloody nose last week.

However, they are missing Mark Stewart and Dimitris Froxylias, which is a blow.

But Livingston tend to find a way to get a positive result and have already defeated Dumbarton at home this season.

David Hopkin will be desperate for his side to show they are contenders. To do that they will have to go to inhospitable places such as Dumbarton and get three points and they are capable of doing it.
