Best Premier League bet

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace
4pm Sunday

The final day of the Premier League season features a tense scrap for European places but there should be a more relaxed mood at Anfield, where champions Liverpool host FA Cup winners Crystal Palace.

Both clubs were involved in high-scoring matches earlier this week as the Reds lost 3-2 at Brighton on Monday and Palace beat Wolves 4-2 at Selhurst Park the following night.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot described the Brighton game as "a joy to watch" despite seeing his side twice let leads slip at the Amex Stadium.

The Reds allowed Arsenal to fight back from 2-0 down at half-time in a 2-2 draw at Anfield on May 11 after losing 3-1 at Chelsea in their previous league outing.

Backing over 3.5 goals looks a solid bet as Liverpool aim to sign off a triumphant campaign in style.

They wrapped up the title with a 5-1 win over Tottenham at Anfield while Palace lost 5-2 at Manchester City and 5-0 at Newcastle last month.

However, Oliver Glasner's men have drawn 2-2 at Arsenal and won 2-0 at Spurs in two subsequent away fixtures and their forwards could provide some fireworks before Liverpool's trophy presentation.

Best EFL bet

Sheffield United vs Sunderland
Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports Main Event, 3.01pm Saturday

Sheffield United finished 14 points clear of Sunderland in the Championship regular season and the Blades can frank that form in the playoff final.

They cruised past Bristol City 6-0 on aggregate in the semi-finals while the Black Cats rode their luck in a 3-2 aggregate win over Coventry.

Penalties were looming before defender Dan Ballard scored the decisive goal in the 122nd minute of the second leg at the Stadium of Light.

Leading 2-1 from the away leg, Sunderland's youngsters appeared uncertain whether to stick or twist and they could be outclassed by the streetwise Blades.

The Black Cats lost their last five regular-season matches, scoring only three times in their final eight games, while Sheffield United's squad depth is illustrated by the fact that three of their six goals against Bristol City were scored by substitutes.

Best European bet

Alaves vs Osasuna
LaLigaTV, 8pm Sunday

Osasuna's excellent home form has kept them in the hunt for Europa League or Conference League qualification in La Liga but their last fixture is on the road at Alaves.

The visitors have claimed only two of their 12 league wins away from home and they could be frustrated in a dour final-day contest.

Osasuna have scored just 14 goals in 18 away games, including 0-0 draws at Athletic Bilbao, Valencia and Espanyol.

No goalscorer is worth a bet at Alaves, whose last five matches have produced only four goals, including two penalties and an own goal.
