Best Premier League bet

Ipswich vs Brentford
3pm Saturday

Relegated Ipswich came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Everton last weekend and the Tractor Boys will be hoping to boost their top-flight points tally in their final three fixtures against Brentford, Leicester and West Ham.

Over 3.5 goals has been a winning bet in six of Ipswich's last ten league matches and three of the other four produced exactly three goals.

Another high-scoring contest is expected at Portman Road, where Town have conceded 24 goals in just seven league fixtures in 2025.

They have scored in four of their last five home defeats, also beating Bournemouth 2-1 and drawing 2-2 with Chelsea on the road last month.

However, Ipswich may struggle to subdue fast-finishing Brentford, who have beaten Brighton 4-2, Nottingham Forest 2-0 and Manchester United 4-3 in their last three games.

The Bees have enjoyed their clashes with the bottom three this season, beating Southampton 3-1 and 5-0, thrashing Leicester 4-1 and 4-0 and winning 4-3 in October's reverse fixture against Ipswich, when over 3.5 goals landed before half-time.

Best EFL bet

Wycombe vs Charlton
Sky Sports Football & Sky Sports Main Event, 6.30pm Sunday

Charlton and Wycombe finished fourth and fifth in League One, separated by just one point, but the playoff semi-final rivals had contrasting ends to the regular season.

Wycombe were unbeaten in 19 matches before their 2-1 defeat at The Valley on December 29 and they were still just two points behind leaders Birmingham going into the new year.

They have had a patchy second half of the campaign and, ominously, their last three results were defeats against Charlton, Leyton Orient and Stockport – the other three playoff contenders.

The Addicks won 4-0 at Adams Park on Easter Monday, restricting their hosts to just two shots on target, and they appeal with the draw no bet in Sunday's first leg.

Best European bet

Holstein Kiel vs Freiburg
2.30pm Saturday

Relegation-threatened Holstein Kiel face Champions League hopefuls Freiburg in the Bundesliga this weekend and, curiously, the hosts have a more potent attack than their highflying visitors.

Second-bottom Holstein Kiel have scored 48 goals this season, two more than fourth-placed Freiburg, and they beat Borussia Monchengladbach 4-3 and Augsburg 3-1 in their last two games.

Japanese forward Shuto Machino, who opened the scoring in Kiel's last three matches, is an injury doubt but his Swedish strike partner Alexander Bernhardsson is also in fine form.

Bernhardsson scored twice in the win at Augsburg, extending his hot streak to five goals in his last 390 minutes of Bundesliga action, and he is a tempting price to find the net against Freiburg.
