Germany can bag a win over Holland in Amsterdam
Best bets in the Nations League
Holland v Germany
Sky Sports Mix, 7.45pm Saturday
Germany are keen to show that their poor World Cup performance was not a symptom of more deep-rooted problems and their recovery can continue with Nations League victory over Holland in Amsterdam.
Results in their Nations League group have been tight, with Germany drawing 0-0 at home to France and Holland losing 2-1 to France in Paris.
The Dutch will have been fairly pleased with their performance against the world champions, which provided more evidence that they are going in the right direction under Ronald Koeman.
However, they have a lot more rebuilding to do if they are to draw a line under their failure to qualify for Euro 2016 and World Cup 2018.
They are looking stronger at the back with Virgil Van Dijk emerging as a genuinely world-class central defender and will have better options in midfield if highly rated 21-year-old Frenkie De Jong maintains the progress he has been making at Ajax.
But their attack lacks quality and presence and is even weaker than usual without Tottenham forward Vincent Janssen, who is sidelined with a foot injury.
Memphis Depay is their best bet for a goal but there are few others who could pose a threat to Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who had a quiet night when faced with Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann last month.
Germany played with a lot of intensity against France and may feel a little unlucky not to have won.
They are responding to their World Cup group-stage exit in the right way and if they play with the same desire against the Dutch they should claim maximum points.

Latvia v Kazakhstan
Sky Sports red button, 5pm Saturday
Kazakhstan will be disappointed to have taken just one point from two Nations League matches but they can stay in contention in League D Group 1 by beating Latvia in Riga.
The Kazakhs played their part in an entertaining 2-0 loss at home to Georgia in their Group 1 opener and had a frustrating time in Andorra, drawing 1-1.
However, their draw with the Andorrans could be partly explained by the artificial playing surface and the dismissal of Kazakh midfielder Serikzhan Muzhikov when the visitors were leading 1-0.
Latvia had no such excuse when they drew 0-0 at home to Andorra, and they followed up with a 1-0 loss away to Georgia.
The Latvians look a poor side with little attacking threat and their problems could increase against Kazakhstan, who were 3-2 winners over Hungary in a friendly in March.

Georgia v Andorra
Sky Sports red button, 5pm Saturday
Georgia look by far the strongest team in League D Group 1 and should have few problems defeating Andorra in Tbilisi.
The Georgians are just 1-6 to triumph but are better value at 8-13 to be winning at half-time and at full-time.
Andorra have been behind at the break in nine of their last 11 competitive away games. They went on to lose ten of them, the exception being the 0-0 draw against Latvia last month.
Recommendation
