International friendlies
From 2pm Monday

Georgia mustered just five points from ten games in World Cup qualifying but they played much better football than the results suggest and are probably a better side than Belarus, who they face in a friendly in Kutaisi.

Wales, Ireland and Austria would testify to the quality of the Georgians, who held each of them to draws in Group D.

Georgia have won their last three friendlies without conceding a goal, beating Latvia 5-0, St Kitts & Nevis 3-0 and Cyprus 1-0. They should have the edge over Belarus, whose losing sequence increased to five with a 4-1 defeat away to Armenia on Thursday.

Venezuela finished South American qualifying with a shock 1-0 victory in Paraguay and they look value to follow up with a friendly success over Iran in neutral Nijmegen.

The Vinotinto went unbeaten in their last four World Cup qualifiers including draws away to Argentina and at home to Uruguay and do not deserve to be outsiders against Iran, who came through a fairly soft World Cup qualifying section.
