Denmark vs Northern Ireland predictions

Northern Ireland drew 1-1 at home to Switzerland and lost 5-1 away to Sweden in March's international friendlies and Michael O'Neill's men face another tough test in Denmark.

O'Neill's squad is strengthened by the return of Liverpool right-back Conor Bradley while his defensive options include Dan Ballard and Trai Hume, who helped Sunderland win last month's Championship playoffs.

Isaac Price's free-kick gave Northern Ireland an early lead against Switzerland and they created several good chances, registering nine shots to the visitors' six.

However, they were outclassed by Sweden in their last outing and Denmark also look too strong although their defence has looked shaky at times.

The Danes lost 5-3 on aggregate to Portugal in the Nations League quarter-finals but the tie was closer than that scoreline suggests.

Brian Riemer's side won the home leg 1-0 and were on course for the semis until an 86th-minute goal from Portugal's Francisco Trincao took the tie to extra-time.

Kasper Schmeichel faced 11 shots on target in the second leg, saving a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty, so Northern Ireland could contribute to the goal tally after scoring 11 times in their last five games.

But Denmark have won six of their last seven home games, losing 2-1 to European champions Spain in the other, and they should be too slick for Saturday's visitors.
