Olimpija Ljubljana's title challenge has faded after a five-match winless sequence and their problems could continue with a poor result at home to fourth-placed Gorica.

When the Slovenian league resumed after the winter break in late February, reigning champions Olimpija were behind leaders Maribor on goal difference.

However, their chances of staying in the race were reduced by the winter departures of key players.

Star forwards Miha Zajc and Etienne Velikonja made January moves to Empoli and Genclerbirligi. And the defence was weakened by the exit of first-choice centre-backs Antonio Delamea Mlinar and Dejan Kelhar.

Losing four important players has taken a toll on results and performances.

Olimpija have taken one point from 12 since the turn of the year and the gulf between them and leaders Maribor has widened to nine points.

Gorica are 19 points off the pace-setters and ten behind Olimpija but have made a strong start to the year, winning three of their four games.

Gorica have lost on three of their last four visits to Olimpija but they are taking them on at a good time and look an excellent value bet at odds-against to secure at least a draw.

Draw or Gorica double chance
