Rafael Benitez chalked up his second win as Dalian Yifang manager against one side hailing from Guangzhou but he could have his work cut out beating the other Chinese Super League side from the port city.

The Spaniard's new club ran out 3-2 victors against Guangzhou R&F but a visit to Guangzhou Evergrande could represent a far tougher assignment.

The hosts are in hot pursuit of the title, having won 14 of their 17 league fixtures this term, and have excelled in both the Asian Champions League and Chinese FA Cup, making the last eight of both.

A 15-point gap between second-placed Evergrande and the team in fourth in the standings, Shandong Luneng, shows this term's Super League has been rather lop-sided and the gulf in class could be clear to see.

However, Benitez has got Yifang's wealth of attacking talent firing and they should at least get on the scoresheet.

They have mustered 40 shots in his two matches in charge, with Ghanaian marksman Emmanuel Boateng and Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco notching three goals each.

Their attacking exploits will be crucial for the remainder of the campaign and they can draw confidence from the absence of Guangzhou's defensive midfield anchor Zheng Zhi through suspension.

But in the event of a high-intensity humdinger, Evergrande should still take the spoils, having comfortably disposed of opposition stronger than Yifang in recent weeks, including Shanghai East Asia and Shandong Luneng.

Recommendation
Guangzhou Evergrande to win & both teams to score
1pt 6-4 Betfred, Sky Bet
