Cheltenham vs Notts County

Steve Cotterill inherited a Cheltenham side who had just been thrashed 7-1 at Grimsby in League Two so solidifying the defence was the priority for the Robins' new manager.

He has nailed the brief, leading the fourth-tier strugglers to league wins over Fleetwood (2-0), Newport County (2-0) and Walsall (1-0) as well as a 1-0 FA Cup victory against Bradford.

Cheltenham are clear outsiders for Monday's home fixture against Notts County but their record under Cotterill suggests they are unlikely to roll over.

Eight of the Robins' 14 league matches this season have been goalless at half-time and the visitors also tend to start games slowly.

Notts County have scored almost two-thirds of their league goals – 16 out of 25 – in the second half of matches and the half-time draw has been a winning bet in four of their last five games.
