Cheltenham to win

Barrow vs Cheltenham

Steve Cotterill's Cheltenham produced a classic away performance to win 1-0 at highflying Swindon last week and they look a big price to follow up with victory at Barrow.

Cheltenham goalkeeper Joe Day did not face a shot on target against promotion hopefuls Swindon and that defensive solidity bodes well for the long trip to Cumbria.

The visitors have won five of their last ten league matches to nil and that run could have been even better but for a couple of crucial late goals. 

Gillingham scored in the 94th minute to salvage a 1-1 draw at Priestfield in October and Harrogate converted a late penalty to earn a point at Cheltenham last weekend.

Barrow parted company with manager Andy Whing after this month's 3-0 home defeat to Tranmere – the fourth time this season they had failed to score in a home defeat.

They have beaten leaders Walsall and second-placed Notts County but won only one of their nine games against teams in the bottom half.

These clubs kick off the game level on 21 points, four clear of the relegation zone, and Cheltenham appeal at almost 3-1 to see off their managerless hosts.
