There is one other European game tacking place with Vitoria Guimaraes hosting Hajduk Split in the second leg of the Europa Conference League third qualifying round.

Blackburn v Hartlepool

Blackburn are the only club with maximum points from their first two Championship fixtures and they should be far too strong for League Two Hartlepool in the EFL Cup first round.

Port Vale v Rotherham

Rotherham are mainly focused on Championship survival this season but their extra quality should set them apart from third-tier hosts Port Vale, who may struggle to bounce back from Saturday's 4-0 loss at home to Exeter.

Middlesbrough v Barnsley

Middlesbrough need a boost after a slow start to the Championship season and they can secure an EFL Cup success over Barnsley, who are taking time to adjust to life in League One.

Plymouth v Peterborough

Plymouth are a tough team to beat in south Devon and their Home Park prowess can give them the edge over League Two rivals Peterborough in the EFL Cup.
