Sheffield Wednesday v Rochdale
Wednesday have made a strong start to the season, winning three of their first five League One assignments, and while promotion is the goal this term, Owls boss Darren Moore still put out a strong side when beating Sunderland in the last round of the EFL Cup. Rochdale sacked boss Robbie Stockdale last week but it did little to improve their fortunes as they lost 3-0 to Swindon on Saturday and they look set to be outclassed at Hillsborough.
Oxford United v Crystal Palace
Palace have caught the eye this season, impressively seeing off Aston Villa at the weekend, and boss Patrick Vieira says his charges are champing at the bit to get back out on the pitch. Opponents Oxford have stumbled out of the blocks in League One, where goals have been an issue, and will be missing eight players for the visit of the Eagles.
Newport County v Portsmouth
Portsmouth have won three league games on the spin and impressively dispatched Cardiff 3-0 away from home in round one of the EFL Cup. Newport also defeated Championship opposition in Luton in the first round but have struggled overall in the early stages and look defensively vulnerable.
Red Star Belgrade v Maccabi Haifa
These two shared five goals in the first leg of this Champions League qualifying tie and the return leg is expected to be just as action-packed. Red Star have scored 21 times in five domestic outings this season while they've hit five in three of their last four Champions League qualifiers at home. Maccabi bagged three in the first leg and recently scored four on a trip to Olympiakos.
